It is made from hardwood and shaped with a gentle curve to fit the animal\u2019s neck comfortably. The main function of the yoke is to transfer the pulling power of the animal to attached farming tools. Ropes are tied from the yoke to equipment such as a plow or harrow. As the animal moves forward, the pulling force is transmitted through the yoke to the agricultural implement, allowing farmers to control the direction and depth of soil cultivation effectively.
