A film camera, such as those made by Nikon, is a device used to capture still images on photographic film. When the shutter is pressed, light passes through the lens and reaches the film inside the camera, recording the image. The film must then be developed and printed to produce photographs. Film cameras were once widely used in everyday photography, journalism, and artistic work before being largely replaced by digital cameras and smartphones.
