A photographic enlarger is a device used in a darkroom to enlarge images from photographic negatives onto photosensitive paper. It works by projecting light through the film and lens onto the paper coated with light-sensitive chemicals. A key component is the bellows, a flexible black tube that can extend or contract to adjust focus and image size. This equipment was a fundamental technology in film photography before the transition to digital imaging.
