เครื่องฉายภาพทึบแสง หรือ เอพิดิอาสโคป รุ่นประสิทธิภาพสูง เป็นอุปกรณ์ฉายภาพขนาดใหญ่ที่ใช้ในห้องบรรยายหรือห้องประชุม ทำหน้าที่ฉายภาพจากวัสดุที่ไม่โปร่งแสง เช่น หนังสือ แผนที่ หรือภาพถ่าย ขึ้นสู่จอรับภาพ หลักการทำงานคือใช้หลอดไฟกำลังสูงส่องไปที่วัตถุ แล้วสะท้อนภาพผ่านกระจกและเลนส์ขยายเพื่อฉายออกไป เครื่องมือนี้ช่วยให้สามารถนำเสนอเนื้อหาจากต้นฉบับจริงให้ผู้ชมจำนวนมากดูพร้อมกันได้

A high-performance opaque projector, also known as an epidiascope, is a large projection device designed for lecture halls or meeting rooms. It projects images from non-transparent materials such as books, maps, or photographs onto a screen. The device works by shining a powerful light onto the object and reflecting the image through mirrors and lenses for projection. It allowed instructors to present original materials directly to a large audience before digital projectors existed.
