กะเหล็บ เป็นภาชนะจักสานจากไม้ไผ่หรือหวาย มีลักษณะคล้ายกระบุงแต่ทรงแบนสูง ก้นเป็นสี่เหลี่ยมผืนผ้า และมีสายสำหรับสะพายหลัง ใช้ใส่สิ่งของได้อเนกประสงค์ เช่น เสื้อผ้า อาหาร หรือเมล็ดพืช กะเหล็บเป็นของใช้สำคัญของชาวไทดำ ใช้ทั้งในชีวิตประจำวันและในพิธีแต่งงาน โดยฝ่ายเจ้าบ่าวจะสะพายกะเหล็บที่ใส่หมากพลูไปยังบ้านเจ้าสาวเพื่อประกอบพิธีตามประเพณี งานจักสานกะเหล็บจึงสะท้อนถึงภูมิปัญญาและวิถีชีวิตของชาวไทดำ
