หอระฆังแม่โจ้ เป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่ง “เวลาชีวิต” ของนักเรียนเกษตรตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2477 ทำหน้าที่กำกับระเบียบวินัย ตั้งแต่การตื่นนอนตี 5 การลงแปลงเกษตรภาคปฏิบัติ จนถึงเวลาเข้านอน 3 ทุ่ม รวมถึงใช้เป็นสัญญาณในการรับน้องใหม่ช่วงกลางดึก
แม้หอระฆังไม้ดั้งเดิมจะเสื่อมไปตามกาลเวลา แต่จิตวิญญาณนี้ยังคงสืบทอดผ่าน ระฆังใบเดิม ที่ประดิษฐานหน้าศาลเจ้าแม่โจ้ และการสร้าง หอระฆังจำลอง โดยศิษย์เก่ารุ่น 34 (หน้าวิหารอุรวดี) และรุ่น 55 (ใกล้ศาลเจ้าพ่อแม่โจ้) เพื่อรักษาตำนานและวิถีชาวแม่โจ้ให้คงอยู่คู่สถาบัน

The Maejo Bell Tower has been a symbol of students’ daily life since 1934. It once regulated discipline, from the 5 a.m. wake-up call, agricultural field practice, to the 9 p.m. bedtime, and also served as a signal during late-night freshman initiation traditions.
Although the original wooden bell tower deteriorated over time, its spirit continues through the original bell now placed in front of the Chao Mae Jo Shrine, and through replica bell towers built by Alumni Class 34 (in front of Urawadee Hall) and Class 55 (near the Chao Pho–Mae Jo Shrine), preserving the traditions of Maejo.
