อนุสาวรีย์ พระช่วงเกษตรศิลปการ (ช่วง โลจายะ) สร้างขึ้นเพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่ผู้วางรากฐานสำคัญของสถาบันการเกษตรแม่โจ้ ท่านเป็นผู้บุกเบิกและดำรงตำแหน่งอาจารย์ใหญ่คนแรกของ โรงเรียนฝึกหัดครูประถมกสิกรรมประจำภาคเหนือ ซึ่งพัฒนาต่อมาเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ในปัจจุบัน อนุสาวรีย์แห่งนี้จึงเป็นสัญลักษณ์ที่สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นในการพัฒนาการเกษตรของไทย และปณิธานที่ต้องการให้เกษตรกรมีความรู้และอาชีพที่มั่นคง
ในทุกปี คณาจารย์และนักศึกษาจะร่วมกันประกอบพิธีวางพวงมาลาเพื่อรำลึกถึงพระคุณและคุณงามความดีของท่านในฐานะ “บิดาผู้ให้กำเนิดแม่โจ้” ผู้สร้างรากฐานและจิตวิญญาณแห่งความมานะอดทนให้สืบทอดจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น

The Monument of Phra Chuang Kasetsilpakarn (Chuang Lojaya) was built to honor the founder and key pioneer of the Maejo agricultural institution. He served as the first principal of the Northern Agricultural Teachers Training School, which later developed into Maejo University.
The monument symbolizes his dedication to advancing agricultural education in Thailand and his vision of providing farmers with knowledge and stable livelihoods. Each year, faculty members and students hold a wreath-laying ceremony to commemorate his contributions as the “Father of Maejo,” whose spirit of perseverance continues to inspire generations.
