A metal storage trunk is a durable container made from sheet metal or steel used to store valuables, documents, and personal belongings. In the early days of Maejo, when Phra Chuang Kasetsilpakarn and the first students arrived to develop the area, these trunks were used to carry supplies through forests and mountains. They were also used to store fermented tea leaves (miang) or processed agricultural products, protecting them from moisture and insects.
